My hidden journaling:

Mom's Senior Picture

My Mother was the 4th child of 6, born to Effie Alice and Arthur Edward Williams in Huntington, Indiana. She lived 80 of the 81 years of her life there in that small town.

Mom received a double promotion in the 3rd grade, something that she reminded us of often.

At the age of 16, she learned to fly a plane, received her pilots license and join the Civil Air Patrol.

After flying planes, Mom didn't get her auto license until she was 36 yrs old.

She met my Father soon after High School and they married a year later, 11/30/1945.

Mom was a homemaker, but spread her wings once her children were raised. She and Dad owned a Ceramic Craft Store, she enjoyed teaching. (Must be where I get my love of crafting).

At the age of 65, my Mom became a clown! She went to clown school so she could participate with the Joy Pleasers Clown Ministry. She walked parades, visited hospitals, nursing homes and churches until she was 75 years old. Mom is remembered in the community as "Petunia"

We lost Mom this year, 2010. Some think she died of a broken heart after my Dad's passing a month earlier. They were married 64 years.

I will miss Mom the rest of my days, but I know I will see her again.
